I have a love-hate relationship with facebook. I love it because -- I'll be honest -- I enjoy stalking people. I hate it because most of the time I just don't get it.
When a person's status says that they had a terrible night's sleep because they have a sore back, why do people press the "like" button?
Why would someone write "Only 3 more days!" and then never explain what that is supposed to mean? I'm guessing that the majority of their 459 "friends" are just as clueless as I am.
And I just don't get it when someone writes to complain about how extremely busy they are. I want to respond by telling them to get off the computer and get to work.
But of course I don't. I don't say anything. I just carry on with my stalking.
I decided I would try an experiment. I would give up facebook for a week. The first couple of days were tougher than I expected. But after a week, when I had given myself permission to check back in, there really wasn't much of a pull. Right now I could take it or leave it. After all, it's mostly just a bunch of useless information.
Kind of like my blog. =)

I totally agree with you on this one! I love to stalk people on Facebook, I often find myself withholding comments at times to the stupid statuses that can show up. I have thought a cole times that I need to go on a Facebook diet and take a week off but haven't been bale to do it yet...
As I was reading your blog it took me back to Andy Rooney. You should take his place on 60 minutes. Love your sense of humor. Lori

I delete my account every few months. Then go back.
Totally agree with you. Except that your blog is not useless info.
Haha the worst is when people post that they are "soooo disappointed and sad right now". Then when their friends inquire as to why, they respond with, "it's not really something I can share right now". Ummmmm okay...?
