Yesterday a miracle transpired. I'm not making this up -- it happened to me, so I know what I'm talking about.
As previously mentioned, The Mr. and I are going to the gym each weekday morning. I feel like I've gotten into a real routine:
- I toss my runners on the bench
- I walk to the locker and put my outside shoes on the bottom shelf
- I hang up my coat in the locker
- I unzip my right coat pocket and take out the lock and key set
- I shut the locker door and click the lock shut
- I take the key out of the end of the lock and place it in my pants pocket
- I put my runners on and head for the track
Yesterday as I finished step #5 and starting on #6, I realized my key was not in the end of the lock like it always is. I realized that it must still be in my coat pocket inside the locker. THE LOCKER THAT I JUST LOCKED!! At this point I may or may not have started to panic just a little.
I decided to just put on my runners and deal with it later. As I walked over to the bench (about 4 feet away), I saw my key on the floor under the bench.
I know what you're thinking.....that the key fell out of the end of the lock on the way over to the locker. But it couldn't have. I didn't even unzip my coat pocket until it was already hanging in the locker.
Amazing! This was much more than a coincidence. In fact it even skipped right over "tender mercy" and landed securely in the "miracle" category.
I believe it was just a gentle reminder from God to let me know that He is in control of my life. All I have to do is report for duty.
