Aaaah, January. How I love you. Of all the months in the year, you're the sensible one.
Just the mere mention of your name seems to encourage order, wisdom and improved behaviour. I look forward to your arrival for a fresh start.
-- I look back over the past year and realize how blessed I am.
-- I set goals to do a little better this year than last.
-- I decide to eat more healthy foods. A trip to the grocery store
has me stocking up on cauliflower, acorn squash and quinoa.
-- I make a plan to get more exercise. (Apparently everyone else
does too, because I can't get my usual parking spot at the gym.
Luckily this will take care of itself when your fickle sister,
February, comes along.)
-- I realize it's time to put away the Christmas decorations,
give my house a thorough dusting, and get back to a routine.
-- I decide that this will be the year to finally get organized. (A
trip to the store tells me that I'm not alone. Everywhere I look
shopping carts filled with Rubbermaid totes are making their
way to the checkout counter.)
And while I'm at the store, I realize that apparently not everyone has been affected by your sensible nature.
Really???? Easter candy already! Have some sense.

Lol. This is all so true, especially the parking spot at the gym. How dare they take my spot, aaand make me get EXTRA exercise because I've had to park so far away.
